about
So, picture this – I'm strolling through the bustling streets of Munich last July, right in the heart of the music-filled spectacle known as Tollwood Festival. The sun's painting the sky with shades of orange, and I've got the original version of "Face Down" playing on a loop inside my head.
But here's the kicker, my friend. Out of nowhere, a sweet-as-honey idea for a Future Bass/DnB remix starts grooving in my brain. The drop idea was crystal clear, like I was rocking it on a festival stage.
Now, the catch is, I'm gear-less in Munich. No fancy music gadgets to bring this idea to life. So, I make a pact with myself to unleash this beast once I'm back in the States. Luckily, I've got a whole week to keep this musical fire simmering.
Fast forward to next week, and you're hearing what was playing in my noggin back in Munich. At first, I whipped it up as a remix with Ronnie Winters' vocals, just something to drop on TikTok and SoundCloud for fun. But then, my buddy Josh Paulino lays down this killer cover of the top line, and things just got a lot more interesting.
Cheers to spontaneous musical magic, my friend!

lyrics
Hey, girl, you know you drive me crazy
One look puts the rhythm in my hand
Still I'll never understand why you hang around
I see what's going down
Cover up with make-up in the mirror
Tell yourself, it's never gonna happen again
You cry alone and then he swears he loves you
Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?
Well, I'll tell you, my friend, one day this world's gonna end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
A pebble in the water makes a ripple effect
Every action in this world will bear a consequence
If you wade around forever, you will surely drown
I see what's going down
I see the way you go and say you're right again
Say you're right again
Heed my lecture
Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?
Well, I'll tell you, my friend, one day this world's gonna end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
Face down in the dirt
She said, "This doesn't hurt"
She said, "I finally had enough"
Face down in the dirt
She said, "This doesn't hurt"
She said, "I finally had enough"
One day she will tell you that she has had enough
He's coming round again
Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?
Well, I'll tell you, my friend, one day this world's gonna end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?
Well, I'll tell you, my friend, one day this world's gonna end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
Face down in the dirt
She said, "This doesn't hurt"
She said, "I finally had enough"
